Boys Varsity Baseball · Baseballs Rodriguez Earns Scholarship to CCBC Dundalk

Deciding which sport to focus on in college is a always difficult decision for an athlete and that decision was no different for Panther three sport athlete Nicolas “Pee Wee” Rodriguez. Rodriguez has been a “four year” three-sport athlete for the Panthers playing football, wrestling, and baseball since his freshman year. There is no doubt the skills he acquired being a multi-sport athlete have given him the confidence to compete at the next level. It should be noted that another one of his hallmark achievements was keeping up with his studies since he never had a mental break in four years. Said Rodriguez “I am very excited to announce my intentions to further my baseball career with the CCBC Dundalk baseball team”. The Lions were 0-11 before COVID-19 forced the cancelation of the 2020 season, but with a young team returning next year Rodriguez has an chance to make a great first impression. Not only does this opportunity with CCBC give him a chance to be coached and play baseball at a high level for two years he can also earn valuable college credits which he can transfer should a college or university offer him an opportunity down the road. It seems like this high school journey has been a worthwhile one for this young man as his future is very bright. Panther Athletics wish him all the best and with the proximity of his new college Panther fans will be able to make travel plans to see him in action.
